His enthusiasm for Chiropractic care came naturally when his father, Dr. Victor A. Pacelli, was a successful chiropractic pioneer practicing on the east coast for over thirty-one years. His desire to follow in his father’s footsteps began developing at an early age as he witnessed the effectiveness of Chiropractic care and many of the natural healing arts being performed.
Dr. Pacelli studied at the world’s oldest and largest Chiropractic Institution, Palmer College of Chiropractic, in Davenport, Iowa. While a student, he received several prestigious awards including the Clinical Excellence Award. He was chosen for this award from his graduating class of over 500 for exhibiting superior proficiency in treating patients in a clinical setting.
Because of his great appreciation for the life work and technique developed by the renowned Dr. Clarence S. Gonstead, Dr. Pacelli strongly desired to study under this great physician. He spent three years under Dr. Gonstead’s postgraduate program at the Gonstead Clinic in Mt. Horeb, Wisconsin. Dr. Pacelli shared the knowledge and skills he gained by establishing Gonstead Spinal Correction Clubs at Palmer College of Chiropractic and other Chiropractic Colleges across the nation.
Dr. Pacelli has placed the utilization of the Gonstead & Cox’s technique laws of physics to use with his patients of all ages within the past 30 years plus in practice.
Dr. Pacelli with his wife, Jane, moved to Kokomo, Indiana in 1977. He had a successful Chiropractic practice for over fourteen years before extending the practice to Lafayette, Indiana. While in Kokomo he and his wife also established two health food stores. Together, they introduced the community to a better way of health for the family through eating nutritional whole organic foods, and preventative care.
Dr. Pacelli continued to pursue his interest in nutrition by seeking out the internationally- known biophysicist and author, Dr. Carey A. Reams. The two doctors conducted clinical research together and studied the response of body chemistry in relation to energy absorbed from food.
When Dr. Pacelli was at Palmer College, he envisioned developing a preventative Health Care Facility that would provide a variety of complementary health care services. In 1988, he established the Pacelli Chiropractic & Health Potential Complex in Lafayette, Indiana, and his vision began to take shape. As time has permitted the complex developed into the Nutritional & Wellness Complex that continues to offer natural health care that is – “An Evolutionary Leap Beyond Traditional Health Care.”
The Complex now has three Doctors of Chiropractic, and one Doctor of Oriental Medicine. Their services being the “backbone” of the facility. The complex also staffs a Massage Therapist and Clinical Fitness Specialist & Trainer. Complementary, the complex offers nutritional supplements, Chinese herbal medicine, rehabilitation, and specialized European therapeutic treatments expanding multiple fields to serve mankind.
Dr. Pacelli is one of the few doctors statewide who has completed the extensive post-graduate studies in Permanent Impairment Ratings according to the AMA Guidelines. He is the only Nutritional Response Testing – Master in the state of Indiana at the present time.
At Palmer College he was the member of the 1971-72 National Champion Team in Rugby. Dr. Pacelli became an IHSAA official in 1978 in wrestling, basketball, and volleyball. Dr. Pacelli’s personal experience has encouraged his abilities that have enhanced the performance of a variety of athletes in the surrounding communities.
As Dr. Pacelli continues to grow in wisdom and knowledge with his post-graduate work and personal research in the natural healing arts, he has established many basis steps to Optimal Health known to us now more completely as True Wellness. One of his latest projects in the past years is the establishment of Back To The Basic Of True Wellness Program with Dr. Paolucci. This extension of, “True Wellness” is Biblically based with added information on how science research has now begun to understand the principles set forth within scripture. He feels this will be an assistance to anyone who would like a greater understanding in returning to a state of True Wellness. He has personally dedicated himself to this way of life.
A concerned citizen and active participant in the Lafayette community, Dr. Pacelli is dedicated to his church and family. He volunteers his time to speak to the community on a wide range of health topics.
